About St Just

St Just Market Square
Whether you are coming to St Just on holiday, or thinking about living here, remember that you can get most of what you need for day-to-day living in one of our range of shops, galleries, pubs, cafes and takeaways.

Let me tell you a little about what St Just has to offer (links provided where available).

St Just centres on a traditional Market Square (shown) where you can stroll from shop to shop to collect your provisions for the day, or why not sit on one the the benches outside one of the pubs, enjoy a local beer and pass the time of day.

In the square there are a wide range of food stores - Stones greengrocers, McFaddens butchers, local bakery Warrens, and a Co-op and Premier convenience stores.

For eating we have two great cafes - Keggen Teg in Market Square, and The Cook Book on Cape Cornwall Road which is a bookshop and cafe in one. There is also Jeremy's Fish and Chip takeaway and restaurant, and Red Star Chinese takeaway.

Why not try one of the pubs for your refreshments. There are four pubs in St Just. The Commercial, The Star, The Wellington and the King's Arms. They are all either in or within a few steps of the Market Square and each has its own individual qualities including sitting out areas, good beers, local food, entertainment and of course the well known St Just friendly welcome.

St Just is renowned for its galleries and local artists. Visit the Just Arts website to find out more.

Other specialist stores include Clemos for all your hardware and dog food needs, and Second Nature which supplies used and new furniture and home wares.

For more information about businesses in St Just and the surrounding area visit the local Chamber of Commerce website.

I'm sure I must have forgotten someone, but I hope this has given a flavour of what St Just has if you choose to visit for a day, a week, or the rest of your life like us.
